for admission. The Admissions Process
Grades K-1 teacher recommendation form
Grades 2-8 teacher recommendation form
Students entering Kindergarten should be able to identify and write the letters of the alphabet, the numbers one through 10, know the sounds that the letters make, and be able to print their names. Students who are already reading may be given priority for admission, but students are not expected to know how to read.
All Kindergarten students are expected to have mastered basic social skills, be good listeners, be able to follow directions, and be emotionally and developmentally ready for a structured, all-day (8:45 - 2 p.m.) school experience.
Applicants for grades 2-8 need to provide the following materials with their application: a photo of their child and copies of student grades or report cards, standardized test scores, and samples of recent writing assignments.
After the assessment, the teacher may invite your child to attend class for a day. Full day class visits by students are not permitted until after the assessment.
