Spring Board – Spring Hill Summer Program

Spring Board – Spring Hill Summer Program
Spring Board! Is a combination of play-based learning and learning through play. With a specific focus on Language Arts and STEAM, we use Design Thinking and a multi-sensory approach to support children in establishing and furthering a love of learning. For entering 2nd through entering 6th graders, Spring Board! provides the perfect summer combination of learning and fun.
- Would you like your child to be well prepared for next year?
- Does your child not want school to end?
- Spring Board! will find the front edge of each participant’s learning trajectory.
- Activities will include: reading, writing, spelling, creative stories, science experiments, math concepts, design challenges, art and inventing!
Sign up for one week or both weeks.
Week 1: June 24 – 28, 2019, Half and Full Days
Week 2: July 22-26, 2019, Half and Full Days
Meet the Teachers
Nicolette Harris: Spring Hill’s Second Grade Teacher and Learning Specialist brings a particular passion for language arts and supporting children through their process of mastering the complex skills necessary to excel. Nicolette creates a welcoming environment in which she supports children in building their confidence and resilience in all subjects.
Casey Ryan: A Fifth and Sixth Grade teacher at Spring Hill, Casey brings energy and inspiration to project-based learning. With an integrated approach to Math and Science exploration, he provides a strong conceptual foundation for children to underpin their STEM problem-solving skills.
Both Nicolette and Casey have taught a range of elementary school ages throughout their careers in education. By incorporating creative and artistic projects into a child’s learning, they achieve a multi-disciplinary and multi-sensory experience that propels children forward on their learning journey.
